Hongkers

Hongky wongky! In February, me and dor made Hong Kong our 4th and final leg of our big break.

Ferry ride from Macau to Hong Kong

We were instantly thrown off our feet. The bustle and chatter, the neon signs stretching over the streets, the looming skyscrapers, stood out starkly from all that we have seen throughout our travels.

But that said, dor and I must be the only 2 people around who didnt enjoy our time in Hong Kong at all. We have heard the many ravings about the shopping and food, but when we were there, we were sorely disappointed.

Food was decently good, not to die for (see: famed roasted goose near Lan Kuai Fong and Hong Kong's Cha Can Teng - Choi Wa). And coming from Beijing, cheap good shopping definitely cannot be found in Hong Kong. After 3 days, I went home with only one dress. Disappointing.

Lunch at Choi Wa

And then tea break again at Choi Wa
And because we could not find anything to do in Hong Kong, we went on a City Tour on foot.

Coincidentally, my sister was in Hong Kong for a work trip. Needless to say, we saved on accommodation :)

Well, its going to be a long time later before I return to Hong Kong again. Definitely Beijing over Hong Kong!
